Look inside the bowls and you will see shiny surfaces. This is because it is further finished by electrolytic polishing after hairline polishing. With conventional bowls, when whipping cream, the whipper and bowl rub against each other, and a tiny amount of stainless steel peels off, discolouring the cream. Electropolishing has been applied to smooth the surface to prevent such discolouration. The press-worked scale also makes it convenient to prepare ingredients. If strict measuring is not required for a dish, you don't even need to use a measuring cup!

The mesh bowl starts out flat. From a single large piece of mesh material rolled into a roll, it is individually die-cut. To achieve the product's unparalleled shape and durability, many prototypes had to be repeated. For example, it was technically difficult to shape a sturdy mesh with a thick wire diameter into a deep bowl shape like this one. We were able to make it after many meetings and persistent trial and error.

"Colanders", made of stainless steel, seem sturdy, but they are actually surprisingly fragile tools. Have you ever experienced the netting tearing, warping, and legs coming off...?

The mesh bowls of the 'KOINU' are made of wire with a wire diameter of 0.57 mm, which is thicker than that of ordinary colanders, for extraordinary strength. The professional specification of this product, which is resistant to tearing and deformation, means that it can be used for many years, even if it is used hard every day.

We actually experimented with placing weights on it. The mesh bowl of the 'KOINU' was not affected even when a weight of more than 8.5 kg was placed on it. It has excellent durability. Because of its durability, it can be washed with hard objects such as brushes, so you can use it without caring about small food particles getting entangled.
