Using high-quality Japanese ingredients and proven cooking techniques, we serve yakitori that truly stands out. Our "Mizutaki" dish features a slow-cooked chicken broth base, complemented by a carefully prepared "ponzu" sauce.

Restaurant Experience

Step into our restaurant and you’ll feel as if you’ve traveled back in time to the Taisho Romantic era. The place has a retro vibe and the chef’s attention to detail has made us a well-kept secret among food enthusiasts.

The inviting atmosphere and comforting dishes are some of the many reasons why we have so many returning customers.

Restaurant Concept

Most yakitori places use a standard grill, but we go a step further. Our custom grill has a water pan beneath the charcoal, allowing us to introduce steam during the grilling process. By applying the Japanese concept of cooking over a strong but distant heat, we trap all the juicy flavors while crisping the surface.

This unique approach gives our chicken dishes a soothing and satisfying flavor, blending the strength of the meat with the subtleness of Japanese seasonings.

Drink Selection

Lining our counter is an array of Japanese sake for the true connoisseur, handpicked by the chef’s wife. Among these selections are some rare finds like long-aged pure rice sake from "Kamiki Brewery," which you won’t easily find elsewhere.

During the winter, we also offer warm sake. Enjoy these selections in our uniquely designed sake cups.

Restaurant Story

Our initial dream was to improve the sushi scene, but we soon realized that we could also raise the bar for the Yakitori industry.

We started asking ourselves, how can we make the best out of the ingredients in front of us? It's not just about relying on quality ingredients, but also about applying the right techniques to bring out their best flavors.

Our vast knowledge of Japanese cuisine helps us offer something uniquely charming that we call "Chicken Kappo." Our skilled chefs pour their heart into each dish, making sure you get a taste of unique Japanese flavors. We're excited to offer you an unforgettable dining experience.
