About the product
The "Space Studio OKOME," a factory of women who have been engaged in the business of space creation in Japan, designed this product to be incorporated into everyday fashion while retaining the functionality of knickerbockers, the work clothes loved by Japanese scaffold workers. We have updated our previous product for women, as we received many requests from men. This item can be used for sports, outdoor activities, and loungewear.[Point 1: Ease of movement]
The unique knickerbocker silhouette, with room from the thighs to the hips and a narrowed hem, contributes to ease of movement. It does not hinder body movement when squatting, standing, or sitting. You can imagine the ease of movement from the fact that it was originally popular in Europe and the United States as sportswear for baseball and golf. By using a more elastic fabric, we aimed to create pants that are even easier to move in.[Point 2: Attention to fabrics]
Recycled fabric made from collected plastic bottles is used. The raw material is 100% recycled plastic derived from waste plastic bottles, which reduces CO2 emissions during production by 77% compared to non-recycled polyester yarn. Of course, it does not give up comfort and ease of use, and combines features such as "wrinkle resistance without ironing," "transparency resistance," "cool touch," and "UV protection”. *Polyester is a flammable material and should not be worn near fire or when working with sparks. [Point 3: Attention to design]
he knickerbockers worn by Japanese craftsmen have a fairly large spread at the thighs, but we designed these knickerbockers with a sleek silhouette and reduced the bulge so that they can be worn without hesitation in everyday life. It is especially slimming when viewed from the side, and I think it gives the appearance of longer legs. The piping on the sides is also a key point. The front and back pockets are designed to be deep enough to prevent your phone from falling out. Loops are attached to the pockets for attaching carabiners and other items. The zippers at the feet allow you to open the zipper for a more relaxed look, or close it for a more formal look. The inside of the ankle is ribbed for a comfortable fit!
Two color options are available: black (with white piping) and khaki (with black piping). Since it does not get sticky even when sweating, it is especially recommended for outdoor activities as well as sports scenes such as climbing, dancing, and skateboarding, where you want to move around lightly. We also emphasize fashionability, so we hope you will enjoy wearing it in many different ways in your everyday fashion.

About the maker
We, "Space Studio OKOME," are a factory of women working on space creation in Tokyo, and we are developing a lifestyle brand called “A DECOR LIFE®”.
Ryoko Kohrazawa, the representative of the company, has been in and out of many construction sites in the course of creating spaces over the years, and while she has felt the joy of creating things and spaces, she has also felt uncomfortable with gender bias, workspaces that are far removed from the finished stylish visuals, large and rugged tools, etc. due to the fact that there is so much heavy lifting involved. We believe that there should be more choices to make tools, work clothes, and workspace more particular and enjoyable, and in 2021, we decided to launch this brand, with the mind "We should do it now!”.
We would like to develop products that can be widely used by everyone by adding the spice of design to what craftsmen have been using up to now. For these knickerbockers, Koharazawa has taken the knickerbockers that she has seen and made them into something that can be used by everyone in a new way. We would like to do our best to make the designs that craftspeople have always emphasized in terms of functionality widely available to everyone and to make them known to the public.
Developing a new product takes a tremendous amount of time and hard work, but we would be happy if our thoughts could reach the people who support us through Makuake, even if only a little.
