About the product

Cotton is a natural material with natural water absorption and heat retention properties. While various efforts and advances have been made in synthetic fibres to bring them closer to natural fibres, they are still no match for the real thing in terms of functionality and texture. We would like to introduce the "Seal Weave Blanket" from Koyaguchi, Wakayama Prefecture, the centre of pile weaving in Japan, to convey the quality of such natural cotton. The cool look and fluffy, smooth feel are key points of this blanket.

[Characteristics of seal weave]
Seal weave is characterised by a dense pile on the front and back. The structure of the weave is such that the pile is sandwiched between the two sides of the fabric, making it resistant to loss of pile and loss of shape, and durable. It is also easy to wash. A moderate dot pattern is applied to achieve a good design while pursuing breathability. Koyaguchi pile weave is characterised by its fluffy touch, and it is said that there was a time when Koyaguchi fake fur was used in many Japanese-made plush toys. If it is soft enough to be used for stuffed animals, you can imagine how comfortable the blankets are to the touch.

[Genderless design]
We don't want to assume that because you are a woman you are pink, because you are a man you are blue-ish...etc. We chose neutral greys because these cotton blankets are sure to be comforting to anyone who uses them. The two colours, light grey and dark grey, and the subtle dot pattern are designed for women, men, babies, kids, adults, the elderly... anyone can use them without hesitation.

[Easy-to-use sizes]
The size single can be used all year round if you have one. In winter, it will feel warm when you lay it on your mattress, and in summer it will come in useful in the mornings or when you feel chilly in the air-conditioning. The half-size is the perfect size to drape over your stomach at night in summer. It is also perfect for snoozing on the sofa or draping over your shoulders in your room. The travelling-rug size is comfortable to drape over the armrests of a leather sofa or any other place where it might get sticky with sweat. When folded in two, it is the perfect size for a pushchair. It is also recommended as an alternative to a baby wrap and as a birth gift.

[Details sought]
We want you to feel the gentle touch all the way up to the neckline, so the top and bottom are folded back to give the blanket a fluffy finish all the way to the edge. The edges on both sides are made of cotton sheeting fabric. We have also included a space on the tag where you can write the date and your name in the hope that you will use it for a long time. We hope that one day this product will be called "the blanket I have always loved for a long time".

The blanket is made of fabric from one of Japan's leading pile-weaving regions, and is finished with a design that is also very special. We hope you will use it for a very long time.

I've been looking for a blanket to use at work since last year. I decided to buy it because I thought it would be a countermeasure against cooling in the summer and could be used in the winter as well.
I am looking forward to its arrival.
