Cotton Seal Weave Blanket

Cotton is a natural material with natural water absorption and heat retention properties. While various efforts and advances have been made in synthetic fibres to bring them closer to natural fibres, they are still no match for the real thing in terms of functionality and texture. We would like to introduce the "Seal Weave Blanket" from Koyaguchi, Wakayama Prefecture, the centre of pile weaving in Japan, to convey the quality of such natural cotton. The cool look and fluffy, smooth feel are key points of this blanket.

[Characteristics of seal weave]
Seal weave is characterised by a dense pile on the front and back. The structure of the weave is such that the pile is sandwiched between the two sides of the fabric, making it resistant to loss of pile and loss of shape, and durable. It is also easy to wash. A moderate dot pattern is applied to achieve a good design while pursuing breathability. Koyaguchi pile weave is characterised by its fluffy touch, and it is said that there was a time when Koyaguchi fake fur was used in many Japanese-made plush toys. If it is soft enough to be used for stuffed animals, you can imagine how comfortable the blankets are to the touch.
