It is Himawari-do that "makes every day a little happy".

We are a company based in Chiba prefecture that mainly handles Japanese tableware, and have been active mainly in event sales at department stores in 1945.

This time, with the cooperation of Mr. Yamashita Toen, the origin of Hasami ware, we proposed a collaboration product between designer Komugi and Himawari-do, and after many years, we can finally make it into a shape, limited to Makuake. We will sell it.

Make every day a little happy. It's a wonderful cup that embodies our motto, so we hope you'll stay with us until the end.

01 Commitment to shape

First of all, the shape was particular about making the cup.

I wanted to make a warm product that is very easy to hold, fits in my hand, and feels the temperature of the drink.

First, I started by purchasing fabric samples from more than 10 pottery producing areas and searching for a kiln that produces thin and beautiful fabrics.

I met "Yamashita Toen" who can make the most beautiful fabrics, and decided to ask.

Then, he told us about his commitment to the product, such as "a shape that fits in the hand, is warm, and allows you to feel the temperature of the drink."

02 Special processing technology

Due to the special processing inside the cup, the drink is easily mixed with air and the taste of the drink is rounded.

This technology is a technology that can only be created by Mr. Yamashita Toen, who needs a technique and has a certain technology.

Actually, I would like people all over the country to try this technology once.

I'm sure the usual way to enjoy sake will expand.

The biggest feature is to realize "creamy and fine foam of beer" .

Beer foam plays roles such as "preventing the flavor from changing", "softening the mouthfeel", and "not letting carbon dioxide escape".

Especially fine creamy foam is the secret to the deliciousness of beer. The golden ratio [ beer: foam = 7: 3] is very famous, isn't it?

This "komugi cup" is a magnetic cup that is also practical.

There is a lot of glass, and when you hold it over the light, it is a little transparent, light and durable, and even thinner and more transparent.

Especially, the inside of mass-produced cups is slippery, and it is impossible to make fine creamy foam in ordinary households.

Based on the data accumulated over many years of know-how, the design makes it easy for the flavor to spread in the mouth .

04 Design

When choosing a designer, I emphasized those who are good at sophisticated yet nostalgic designs.

Therefore, I asked Mr. [komugi], who is very popular on Instagram, to write a very warm pattern.

Along the way, we had a lot of exchanges and meetings about the design, such as fine angles and line thickness, and we were satisfied with it.

05 Coloring

I want to have 4 dull colors.

It took a considerable amount of time to put out the dull color in the cup from such a commitment, and I was very impressed when I combined various colors and baked it many times and got the color I wanted.

I want you to use it when you spend precious time with your loved ones while your time at home is increasing.

And I made it because I wanted to deepen the bond with my loved one.

And I want you to use it as a gift for your loved ones.

For that reason, we also created an original box.

The first difficulty in making the "komugi cup" was consensus.
We were trying to add value to the design with cheap cups as much as possible, but then it's just a cup.

It's been two years since we raised these three pillars and repeated adjustments with us, Yamashita Toen, and komugi .

Finally, we were able to commercialize it.

However, since there is a limit to the number of items that can be sold, we will sell them in a limited quantity and for a limited time.
