Many failures and trial and error

In the winter of 2019, the Tamamizu project quietly started in a corner of the shoe studio.

As soon as I thought about it, I got a "tin board" with a uniform thickness and tried using a cutout prototype.

There was a part that bent locally and it was damaged.

Immediately I have a lot of problems.

Then, using 3D CAD, I made a mold, melted "tin", and repeated tests.

We changed the thickness to control how it bends, strengthened the handle, improved the size and thickness in consideration of usability, and changed it to a structure that is easy to pull out after putting on shoes.

By changing the shape, structure, and purity of "tin" many times, a convincing prototype was finally completed around the end of the snow in 2021.

Nousaku, a long-established casting manufacturer representing Japan, was sublimated into a product.

Nousaku was founded in 1916 (Taisho 5) as a factory that manufactures Buddhist altar fittings in a traditional casting town with a history of more than 400 years.

While respecting tradition, it has been over 100 years with an attitude that is not bound by preconceived ideas.
